+ Today my dog was put to sleep.
+ she was a good dog- we got here from the pound about 12 years ago- its hard to believe that its been so long.
she has been a part of my life for so long- but it seems like it was only 5 or 6 years.
+ the Vet said it was a Dis-lodged heart- or cancer? i dont know what the heat thing is all about but either way. she was put to sleep- which i guess is the best thing-
+ Though- every time a pet of mine passes away- im never there- which isnt anyones fault- but its strange to think that these events happen without you knowing- then you think back to what you were probably doing in the world when that event took place.
+ today i watched all three Indiana Jones movieswith Nicole and some other friends- im happy with it
+ ok so i went back to the park as is my new hobby. when i have a few hours i go out and walk the trails, and today i went out early, i saw all kinds of great things. and discovered some amazing new coves, and hollows-
+ but the real suprise was that i saw for the first time, and Indigo Bunting! they are marvlous birds and are highly saught after by bird watchers around the world, and i saw one! ive taken to birds as of late- and this was an unexpected gem. i didnt know what to do- it was there, lingered then was gone- it was amazing.
+ and again, i saw the Baltimore Oriole!
+along with- Brown thrush, Gold Finch, ruby-throated Humming bird, a garter snake, a northern water snake - and few frogs. a good day id say!
+Today i was at the park and Nicole and i were sitting on a bench by the Conestoga river. and three Baltimore Orioles flew around us for about 3 minutes then darted across the river and out of sight.
+I was just thinking about how i've never really seen one before, i think i have when i was little, but not that i could remember well, and now thats all changed.
+ Is a good day to stay in bed, but i should be productive. if i dont have my call in shift that is.
+ I've decided that i have to get a new and or second job in addition to my stock manager position at Pac-Sun. eight solid hours a week just wont do it. and the idea of eight hours as a "functioning" employment is insane. so I'm looking around Lancaster City for a new day job.
+WHAT I LIKE:
+ Plants, Art, Retail (its not so bad), server, anything where i can be outside, or something that wont have me
hating life
+WHAT I DONT LIKE:
+Food service (fast food, cook), late night shifts (no thanks), jobs that have me hating life
+in the 4 almost five eyars i've lived here i have had these jobs.
+Packager/Baker- record store guy- skate store guy- deliveries- mural painter- Chameleon club tech- Pac-Sun stockmanager
+I love my job at Pac-Sun. but its just not helping me anymore. so its either i have two jobs- Pac-Sun gives me alot more solid hours- or i find a new job all together.
+Im also open to paid illustration jobs if anyone has any tips.
P.S- Silver sun Pickups are amazing, ive known this for some time now.
+I've discovered a place where i can go to be free of my self for a few hours as i have them free. its a beautiful place, where i can be in nature and not worry about work, or rent, or bills..a place that id like to share with Nicole.
+I'm speaking of a large rock that sits in the middle of a wide stream in a park not far from my home. i spent the day there on Thursday just thinking and writing, and drawing- i decided to go further down the trail i was on. i went about another 2 miles down and decided before i went any further i should wait for more daylight, so i went back and visited the rock one last time to record the thoughts i had while walking through the woods.
+though on the way back i had an encounter with a doe that was amazing, we stopped at eachother in the trail and i crouched down to appear non-threatening. she then walked closer to me smelling the air heavily, by the time she walked away we were about 5 feet from eachother. it was a great moment in my personal history
+there is nothing like the woods. its a beautiful place where you are the one who feels small and alone- but its not a bad feeling, i feel like its where i could spend my life. and having recently been delving deep into the tales of Robin Hood, i can see that the forest is the perfect place for a free man to call home. it also made me think of "Into the Wild" a great book and now movie about a man who gives it all up to live in the wilds.
+as i've said before, Nature is a beautiful constant.
the one of the girl is my girlfriend, it's my favorite drawing to date. and its just ball point pen and watercolor.
